- Living books, do they really live? Is it just a crappy named bookstore because someone thought it was cool? Is it in any way related to an actual brand of books that I only discovered were an actual thing after googling the phrase later?
Maybe.
And hey look, a new character. What's she all about?

Oh man, today did not go as planned at all, so this will be coloured and fancy tomorrow.
For now, black and white.
There was a brownish one but now it's gone but still technically here.

Thanks for reading everyone! Enjoy!

EDIT: I was literally so tired I added this page without actually uploading anything, holy crap, I am glad I caught that before I passed out.

REPLIES! -
@xero.zero: It makes things a little easier, but (most) of the time the colouring doesn't take that long and I kind of like the coloured pages better even if I'm not that good at colour because I'm trying to learn how to use it most effectively and I guess the pages are good practice. :D /ramble. And who indeed! :O

@ Sven: Heck yeah! Books are awesome! :D And thanks for saying it looks nice and clean, and I'm glad you like the black and white. :) Maybe with the next chapter I'll consider just completely switching to black and white since people like it... not sure though.

@ Skripkitty: Haha, yes definitely. (Lots of my followers are amazing artists who I totally look up to and am kind of amazed by and omigosh how flattering it is that you guys even read this) So thank you so much! Haha, it means a lot since this comic is my first real attempt at actually doing backgrounds for anything. :)

@ P!K: Yep! :O Pretty much everyone you'll meet in the bookstore is an actual character who will have a reoccuring role later on. Actually, you were all supposed to learn her name in this page for future reference and all, but the dialogue of "HEY PARKER!, HEY ISABELLA!" sounded so clunky that I had to change it so there it is. >.>
Her name is Isabella and she works in the bookstore (and other stuff)
First sign is A-F, next sign is F-M. Just the way they're sorted. :D /most pointless detail ever.

@ Iron: :O What were you thinking? Now I'm curious. XD
Oh man, I am no master at anything, haha. But thank you so much.

@ SunshineMoonlight: :) Thank you!

@ blankd: The black and white gives the pages a pretty different look from the colour, it is nice in it's own way. There's things I like about both of them, I guess. :D Thank you for commenting and enjoying it!

@ Stella: Thank you! (for everything) and no problem! I found your comic a couple days ago, it's so pretty, holy crap. It is taking me a while to get through though, if only because my resolution is tiny so I have to scroll for all the pages, but that's more my problem than yous, haha. It's really awesome!
(Holy crap, I'm dumb, I totally forgot to write who I was addressing here)

@loserfish: Awwww thank you so much, you're too kind. ;_; And I'm so glad you like the colours for this page. :D I was wondering if anyone would ask that, This is actually a different black haired girl than that one. (Part of the reason why she's not in this banner is because I realised, while she does become a part of the main cast later, she won't show up in the story for a while) Thank you so much again.<3

I think I prefer the B&W for the uncoloured pages D:

Also. ALL DEM BOOKS. But are those copypasta books I see in the very back?

The black and white still exists, should I swap it out?
I just figured something different could be nice, but I also have the worst judgment ever.
And yeah, the very back books were sort of copy pasted and then flipped or cropped and put around in different ways because holy crap that is a lot of books. I'm not even going to pretend I didn't do that.

I don't mind delicious copypasta.

The black and white is really nice actually. If it makes things
a lot easier for you, I say leave it black and white. Now on to
the big question, WHO IS THIS BERNARD THAT AWAITS THEM
IN THE BOOKSTORE? And how old is he with a name like Bernard?

I kinda like the black and white of it, looks nice and clean. But that's just personal preference. PAGE LOOKS AWESOME. I LOVE BOOKS. THEREFORE UPDATE IS GOOD Q.E.D.

You know your followers are artists when the first thing we say is "oh my gosh, you didn't draw all of those yourself did you? You'd be crazy not to copypasta!" XD

In other news, I absolutely envy your ability to draw simple, yet clear and believable backgrounds and settings.

when I read 'living books' I already had a separate story in my mind xD/oooh, I love the new character, so pretty <33 And yeah, even if it's a copypasta you're a detail master =D

I kind like the black and white actually D8. Then again I like minimal stuff so take that as you will.
(Can't wait for more!)

Oh gosh! These bookshelves look like they were a pain to draw! But the final outcome looks awesome! Also nice name for the bookstore heeh!

OH GOD, WE WERE OUT OF IT THIS WEEK, I GUESS. D8 I somehow didn't see that this updated...but it's like the most beautiful page ever! Like, seriously, it's gorgeous! Even with some copy-paste going on, I think you're amazing for working on such an intricate background! The B/W (err-rather brown and white) is nice too, but I think I've always been a big fan of your colors. So I think the coloring here is gorgeous <3 Also, is this the same lady who was on your last banner?

ahh, so many books! even though you haven't drawn anything on most of the spines it still manages to look so detailed. i envy your patience!
